WISDOM A PLAGIARISM
When we hear the word plagiarism, what pops in our mind is "wrong usage", "stealing and publication of other persons language, thoughts, ideas or expression" then presenting them as ones original work. If we infer this, we are presumably right but looking at this concept "plagiarism", it has to do with another individual's logical reasoning which I call the application of this very individual's knowledge (wisdom).
Some people, mostly the believers will say- wisdom is the principal things, this I think means the meaningful existence of man himself. The engine that drives the accomplishment of his desire, the propeller that propels his attitude, characteristics and mind affectively. Wisdom is the " quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement, the quality of being wise". To act rightly, wisdom is needed because being knowledgeable does not mean to be wise or what is the essence of the faculty called brain stocked with intellect, ideas , concepts, beliefs and knowledge yet can't be applied correctly. What a shame! Just like a man who can describe, explain and illustrate adequately the components of a car but cannot repair it not to talk of building one, or of what usefulness is recognising food and can't prepare a good meal. To become great man sought after, wisdom is needed.
Therefore, wisdom is the accumulation and efficient application of knowledge and knowledge is gained through studying, observing, and learning from other people so when it is applied in days activities it is nothing but plagiarism.
On this note, I can't but quote my lecturer Dr Mahfouz Adedimeji " all wisdom is plagiarism, only stupidity is original.
