LETTER TO MY FELLOW YOUTH

LETTER TO MY FELLOW YOUTH
It is high time the youth wake up and put on their thinking caps for the betterment of their society
Our parent, leaders and elders have done their best and discharged thier responsibilities wisely and rightly, so let's rise for our own good
We complain merely about everything: no electricity, food, water, money, shelter, security etc. However the tools to enable us fix these things are what we sell together with our conscience to political cabal members and " stomach infrastructure" moguls gunning for political offices.
Instead of sitting down and solving the problem with our minds and intellect, some of prefer to see the UEFA champions leagues to the very end or follow social media friends like #BB Naija or follow fashion pages and gossip blogs to the last letter, idly viewing and posting on every social network in the world .
Perhaps we have forgotten that the youngest programmer in the world is not up to 15 years. Emmanuel Macron, President of France was 39 when elected. Isn't  Mark Zukerberg a young billionaire? After all , he owns Facebook that thousands of youth flock to in order to idle away their time.
Can't we sit down and say "At my age, someone is working and is rich. How can I be legally successful?" Malala .Y. , winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016 was not up to 20 when she won it. What did she do? Fought for other people's rights in her country.
Some young people get themselves hooked to the wrong things, which tell on them later in life. That is why you hear some youths singing "kin sha ti lowo" (Yoruba language) meaning "let me just have money". How do we expect that to happen? Not without hardworking? They believe in negative values enhanced in them by the society, internet amongst others. That is why most of the youth today are not succeeding.
Perhaps thier, and our greatest mistake is the negligent of our religious values and family values. We lose respect for our parents not to talk of God .
There I'd hope for us all, however, it lies in out common unity yo change that " wrongly-wired psychology " of the average Nigerian youth and wake up to work
