EDUCATION: REAL SENSE.

EDUCATION: The Real sense of it.
Education is derived from two greek words Educare and Educere. Educare means to lead out or bring out. Educere on the other hand means to nourish and flourish. Education from the Educare perspective is the leading out of inborn potentialities and power of an individual so as to make him useful for himself and the society he lives.
 Education in the Educere perspective is the process by which a child acquire the skills that will make him function in the society. Thus, it can be deduced from the above that Education is a process of cultural transmission and renewal.
   It is glearing that none of the definitions of Education pays attention to Schooling. This is because Schooling is quite different from Education however, the term Schooling and Education are used interchangeably due to misinterpretation. Schooling is the act of going to a formal settings to learn in order to become refined. It had nothing to do with Education. This is to imply that it is possible to go to school and not be educated and it is also possible to be educated without going to school. Plato reinstates that Education is the process of integrating an individual into the society thereby ensuring the care of the body for the sake of the soul. Education is the ability to use the 3H. The head, heart, and hand.
 The first is attributed to the cognitive domain. This implies that if a person is evaluated as being educated, the decisions made by such individual must be refined. intellectual sophistication I put it.
  The second H is the affective domain i.e how do an educated person react to perplexing situations. Do such individual figet, complain, etc.
 The last H is is the psycho motor. An individual who claims to be educated should be hardworking
 Also, to get liberated in this information obsessed world full of ups and downs, education is needed . Education here does not mean Schooling as said earlier.A lot of people complain about the country's problem bit few give solutions not to talk of contributing to the proposed solutions. It is high time we started asking questions like am I part of the problems in this country or part of the solutions? What have I done to curb the problem around me?
 It is when we start asking this questions and work towards it, we can really claim to be educated.
